I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Koka Kids app. It’s been in development for a while, and I can’t wait for you to try it out!
What can you do with the Koka Kids app?
Through the Koka Kids app you can access The Gokyo-no-Waza – that’s 40 techniques – with tips and tutorials on each throw.
Enter the name of any judo throw in the search bar and it will appear along with tips and tutorials.
You can save your favourite throws for easy reference before or after training sessions.
How Judo apps can helps you learn
This judo app is designed to be fun and interactive, with animations that will keep your kids engaged and motivated.
As we continue to grow, we’ll be adding even more content to the app, making it an even more invaluable resource for all levels of judoka.

“It is an absolute honour to announce my first of several judo related mobile apps has been released!
Several months ago I spoke of my intent to help the judo community with my skill set and ability to make mobile apps. All these apps will be free, or at a cost to cover the resources involved (cost to host data and keep it secure).
The first of these apps is the gokyo from Koka Kids Junior Judo Magazine. Nic Fairbrother has been amazing supporting me with my aim, so please take a look, give feedback and if you want physical copies buy her books.
